John 19 Verse 31 - The Bible : English

Here is what the Bible says on John 19, Verse 31:

"Therefore the Jews, because it was the Preparation, so that the bodies wouldn`t remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away." <<   32 >>

"Se te lavèy jou repo a. Jwif yo pa t' vle pou kadav yo te rete sou kwa yo pandan jou repo a, paske jou repo a te yon gwo jou fèt. Yo mande Pilat pou fè kraze janm moun ki te kloure sou kwa yo, lèfini pou l' te fè wete kadav yo."

"Dans la crainte que les corps ne restassent sur la croix pendant le sabbat, -car c`était la préparation, et ce jour de sabbat était un grand jour, -les Juifs demandèrent à Pilate qu`on rompît les jambes aux crucifiés, et qu`on les enlevât."
