I'll try my best to make it understandable..

religion is a set of beliefs, fate in one or more higher/super being(s).

the difference is really that in religion, people have to perfect theirselves to appear before their gods, they have to work hard to be acceptable before their gods. but with Christianity, Christ has died, HE is rissen, all we have to do is give our hearts, we should not be perfect, we can come to God the way we are, and He is The One to change us. the gods of the nations (religion) want their followers to complete a lot of rituals and obey a lot of rules, but in chriatianity it is about relationship and love. you just have to accept Christ's offering for you and give ur heart.

ofcourse Christianity has traditions, such as baptism, but if someone repents to Christ right before his last breath, God won't reject that person becaus ehe isnot baptised.

Christ looks at the heart..and not the behaviour.
