Well, the intent of God's Word which is also Jesus-Christ is to show us how to live according to God's will. Some people think that the New Testament is more appropriate for our time because the Old Testament is based on laws and prophecies rather than Grace.

If that should be true?

Then, we would miss something.

We would miss the fact that God is the Beginning and the End. We all can discern and accept that if we are something then we know that something.

Therefore, God knows the beginning as much as He knows the end.
Remember God created men!

So, it's safe to say that God knows us and what we are made of. He knows all that we are capable of.
The only contrast between the Old and the New testaments apparently resides in "The Law & The Prophets" and "The Grace of God through Jesus-Christ".

In fact, we need both to live according to God's will because the Law shows us how to live in order word, it points out our sins, our weekedness but, Grace shows us how to be forgiven and to be saved.
