This is ur experience, with haitian christian, or you judge everyone, is not everyone act like that, the way people serve God is personnal, everyone have to follow God in good way, only an good way, because God is good all the time and all the time God is good, if you someone serve him wong way, they baybe anothere stuff, not God, the culture, all haitian have a same culture, but we have a choice, our culture is not only voodoo, is not like because my culture is voodoo, I have to serve that no, we have a choice, our choices is the good way, God way not voodoo way, I don't judge n one because they make a choice, only thing I do for them is pray for them, one day they to Jesus and serve him, every nation, like african, juwish, and more serving God on there culture, but there culture is very defferent like haitian culture, like I say befor, we have a choices an serving God, maybe they have same choices we have, sometime you see some haitian christian act like that, you think every haitian christian is like that no, is not true, the true is some of them misunderstand the reality of christianity, a christian walk like Jesus, act like him, understand one anothre, not a fanaticism, not because a pastor say something not even in the bible I have to say amen, I don't think so, sometime some of them call himself christian because they the pastor of the church is my best friend, they say everything he says is true, now they don't realy follow God, they follow the pastor, that's why they act like that, those people, who ever act like that need to pray God, for this problem, like I said I don't judge no one, this is not my place to do that, if some of them you act like that let's pray for them, only God the alfa and Omega can help them ok peace I'm out. May God bless you all.

you didn't understand me very well, but I agree on the fact that only God can help them and that we have to pray for them..
because that what I am talking about is very troublesome to me..I see the devil manipulating and lying to people and make them think they are serving God..it is difficult to says sth. about this because so many people already say that I am judging, but I just know that there are some things, God just doesn't do. Anyway, what is left for us, is to pray..

hi,
you are absolutely right.
I think you misunderstood me, if not so, I wasn't clear.
I absolutely agree that everyone has a choice end that serving God is a personal thing.
if you don't mean that it is private.
Anyways, I don't agree that voodoo is culture, culture is "tet mare", "krik krak" and those things.
Voodoo is not culture, it is a religion.
There absolutely is a difference between religion and culture.
Christianity is not a religion, because Christ has already done everything for us, the only thing we have to do is follow Him..
tanks for sharing your thoughts with me..
be blessed.
oh and I'm sorry if it occured to yoy as if I judged all Haitians..I don't believe that everyone is the same..

Rose-Marie, I think it would be good for you at this time to define "religion."
I understand what you are saying but maybe others don't.

yes, Jack, that is a good thought.
I'll try my best to make it understandable..
religion is a set of beliefs, fate in one or more higher/super being(s).
the difference is really that in religion, people have to perfect theirselves to appear before their gods, they have to work hard to be acceptable before their gods. but with Christianity, Christ has died, HE is rissen, all we have to do is give our hearts, we should not be perfect, we can come to God the way we are, and He is The One to change us. the gods of the nations (religion) want their followers to complete a lot of rituals and obey a lot of rules, but in chriatianity it is about relationship and love. you just have to accept Christ's offering for you and give ur heart.
ofcourse Christianity has traditions, such as baptism, but if someone repents to Christ right before his last breath, God won't reject that person becaus ehe isnot baptised.
Christ looks at the heart..and not the behaviour.
oh and I hope I made this clear..

Yes, our Christian faith is built on God's free gift to us, the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Nothing more. No rituals -- no goody goody!
We just have to realize that we are not good enough to face Him and pray to receive Jesus into our lives.
It is at that moment that we become new creatures that are temporarily on this earth with His Spirit inside us.
Christianity is absolutely the only "religion" that does not require work, rituals or trying to be good enough to go to heaven.
All of that is worthless to God. It is all in the Bible.
Actually, I understood what you meant in your first post.
God bless you and your testimony for Him.

second: I am christian and I am Haitian.
No I don't understand cristians in Haiti, because I don't know them. the Haitian comunity that I know, serves God in a very weird way. and about voodoo, it is not only voodoo, but all religions of nations are religion, every culture has a religion and culture and religion is not the same. there are many things in culture that can not be accepted by chriatians also.
and I also don't understand you..I don't doubt about you being christian, I say that I follow jesus and live in relationship with Christ..and I wish you good luck an d gods blessing,....
